We are currently based near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Depending on weather and fishing reports, we will determine the meeting location the night before your trip
Almost. Bring a hat and sunglasses and dress for the day’s weather. Our cooler is stocked with cold drinks. Feel free to bring a snack or sandwich. We have all licenses, tackle, and rods. Feel free to bring your special rod.
Anyway you want. Venmo, credit card, cash, check or PayPal. Tips are appreciated but never expected.
Striped bass is our usual target species. August and September find us looking for Spanish Mackerel, Red Drum, and Cobia as move the boat to Southern Maryland waters. Our kids trips are focused on bait fishing perch, spot, and croaker.
Southern- warm, sweet, welcoming. Boats are always feminine - Southern Girl.
No. We keep a five gallon bucket on board for emergencies. The launch ramps usually have porta potis available that you can use before departure.
Southern Girl is a center console. She’s designed for hardcore fishing. There‘s a canvas “t top” that offers some shade, however be prepared to be exposed to the day‘s weather. Bring one more "layer" than you think you'll need.
We obsess over the weather. I’ll be in contact the night before your trip and let you know what to expect. Your comfort and safety is paramount. I’ve fished the bay enough to know that a windy day is no fun. Anything over 15 knots makes for a tough day, and we strongly encourage you to reschedule. I reserve the right to cancel due to weather and any payments or deposits will be immediately refunded.
