We usually target striped bass or rockfish. Our main method is to cast artificial lures to fish we see on our fishfinder. Depending on the season and quality of fish, we may use bait at times. Our goal is to have a bend in your rod! Striped Bass, White Perch, Spot, bluefish and red drum are all possible depending on the time of year.
Our kids trips are bottom fishing only and we use bloodworms, soft crab, night crawlers, or razor clams depending on availability. White perch, spot, and croaker will keep them busy and entertained

No. We keep a five gallon bucket on board for emregency’s. The Marina has a restroom located next to the dock that I encourage you to use before departure
Southern Girl is a center console. She’s designed for hardcore fishing. There‘s a canvas “t top” that offers some shade, however be prepared to be exposed to the day‘s weather.
We obsess over the weather. I’ll be in contact the night before your trip and let you know what to expect. Your comfort and safety is paramount. I’ve fished the bay enougn to know that a windy day is no fun. Anything over 15 knots makes for a tough day, and we strongly encourage you to reschedule. I reserve the right to cancel due to weather and any payments or deposits will be immediately refunded.
Yes. We can cruise up the Magothy River. A few popular restaurants are just short ride away. We can drop you for dinner and enjoy the sunset on the ride home! If weather allows we can run out to the lighthouses and see the Bay Bridge.
